Good morning,

My name is Melissa and we are currently conducting a project on genetic conservation in the UK with Scottish Natural Heritage and the University of York.

We understand that this is an extremely difficult time with the current COVID-19 situation in the UK, and so if this is not an appropriate time to be involved in this study, we completely understand.

The aim of this project is to understand more about perception and examples of genetic conservation management, and to explore the idea of Gene Conservation Areas (GCAs) as a genetic conservation management tool for wild populations. If the GCA concept could be an effective management tool, then we would draw up establishment and management guidelines with your input. We particularly are interested in farmers and land owners to participate in this study.

To gather opinions and information for this, we would like to invite you to complete this questionnaire which can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1...6VKwI9YUvuKrW4HTXnYzZ7Fw/viewform?usp=sf_link

This link contains further information about the project and the questionnaire. This should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete, and your responses will be valuable in shaping the future of genetic conservation management in the UK.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone who you think would be interested.

Many thanks

Melissa
