Research Project

Hi all,

I'm currently a veterinary student at the RVC, and I'm entering my second year in a few weeks! As part of this year I am required to conduct a Research Project of my own choosing.

My project is aimed at comparing the impact of Robotic Milking to that of the "traditional" parlour, with regards to disease (particularly mastitis).

I am looking for willing participants (those who use Robots or normal parlours) to provide me with milk data for me to carry out this project. The data will be presented anonymously, and kept securely whilst in use and destroyed after the project is completed.

If anyone is willing to provide me with data, if you could private message me and we can sort contact details so I can provide the relevant consent forms and proof that I am who I say I am.

Thanks very much in advance guys!

What sort of data do you require?

I'm looking to narrow down by a number of variables to get consistent groups of Robots vs Traditional to lower the bias of other factors, so I'm looking for types of bedding, number of cattle milking, pre- and postdip used etc. and then records of cell counts as my main data comparison. Any other data that you believe to be relevant would be great to hear about!
