Rest easy farming folk ....

Rees Mogg is extremely anti tariffs on food.

How about caulie which is harvested Lincs in December, Cornwall Jan/Mar & Kent?lincs till early June then Lincs/Lancs for the main late June to Xmas season. But French crop is brought in during difficult periods of weather. Our surplus may be exported to Northern Europe when required. We need trade.

Isn't that down to the trade deal .. I would have thought seasonal produce could be handled by quotas by month ?

Not beyond the wit of man.

Not seasonal though is it?

Supply varies daily, shortages are topped up by elentronic dutch auction style imports. Surplus are pitched into Northern Europe to try to avoid waste.

Imported apples are sold 12 months of the year to get the range.

I want to sell my lambs abroad.

I need to buy a whole range of fresh produce from abroad. Many growers rent land overseas, even move machinery & staff down to Murcia in the winter. Scotland is part of UK, god help them,if they become an independent country, but many growers rent land in Scotland to extend seasons into the spring.

Trump thinks Brexit is a good idea. I think California becoming an independent country would be a better one
