I would really doubt it's as easy as retrofitting an ABS socket there would be a hell of alot more to do with the braking system and sounds like it would be ridiculously expensive! I m sure someone with more knowledge than me could tell you but will be a hell of alot more complicated than you could imagine!Hi anyone on here fitted abs plug on new Holland or MF tractor from 2010 onwards? Is it even possible?
Should be possible. I’ve done it on another breed. Wasn’t that dear and as the loom etc was all mostly in situ, the actual install amounted to plugging the socket into the loom connection. I can’t remember if the dealer has to do any specific end of line programming, but I don’t think so.Hi anyone on here fitted abs plug on new Holland or MF tractor from 2010 onwards? You should note that most agri trailer ABS units will happily work of either the tail light circuit or dedicated ABS socket - the benefit of the latter is that ABS check light on the dash confirms all is good.
As mentioned in your earlier thread, you would need to check that your trailer ABS units will work with 12V supply from the tractor. Lorry trailers are 24v supply. Thanks for the response I knew I couldn’t be that hard as you can spec tractors with them only question mark now is whether we will need a 12 -24v abs plug inverter as trailers are ex commercial
If CNH don't want to know, give Mike from Erentek a call. I'm sure he'll be able to sort you out an ABS socket kit for a blue one.Sorry to dig this up but looking into this aswell, seems pretty straight forward I think wiring up a 5 pins version as it’s all power/earths, just wondering if anybody knew if it was possible to do it using all 7 pins with tractor canbus on a cnh tractor? Or if anybody knew if there was a dia kit available for cnh tractors for abs, local dealer parts doesn’t seem to want to help.
Thanks
