Revised RB209 recommendations

I had an informal meeting with an EA officer today and as we were chatting afterwards, she asked me if I was aware of the revised The Nutrient Management Guide (RB209

I have indeed seen mention of it, but not a clue on the changes... however it transpires that there have been changes on grassland that will make life easier (my words) BUT, the revised guide is not being incorporated in Planet!! Bizarre I have to say....

Anyone sat down and studied the changes and care to comment (or alternatively) point me to thread here please?

Planet has always been very slow to incorporate changes to RB209. I don't do a lot of grassland recs, so can't help you on that I'm afraid. Best to download & read the new guides and work from them.

Keep an eye on the new farming rules for water protection https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/farming-rules-for-water-from-april-2018 If you're in a NVZ and are obeying cross compliance then these make little difference other than the requirement to test soils every 5 years. Most of this stuff is part of good practice anyway.
