Hey!
I'm really happy to join the community, my name is Itamar Eliakim, I've been working in the last 5 years in developing robots for the consumer market, I am the founder of Rootie - innovative robotic lawnmower platform.
We are a young and enthusiastic autonomous robotics company that aimed to disrupt the garden maintenance care market. As an owner of a large backyard, I was always disappointed with the solutions currently available in the market, which led us to develop a tech solution based on a completely different approach than the current products available at the market.
We are working non-stop to develop, create the best product for our market, now we want to share it with you and refine our product to best fit it to the market.
We would be really happy if you could answer a few questions, and detail as much as possible to help us help our community

Hi @forblue,
I have been working in this field for a couple of years, and I am aware that people are concerned about robots that will replace them in every aspect.
We are presenting a completely different approach than the robots available these days, our goal is that the robot will replace you on doing the 'boring' tasks while making you more involved at the 'enjoyable' tasks, and therefore will make our users more social, environmentally aware, and happy.
Currently, we are working on stealth mode, we cannot share the exact product that we are developing, hopefully, we will be able to release some details within the next couple of months.
I personally promise to share the details here with the community to keep you updated.

Every job can be boring i hardly think doing nothing is enjoyable, think outside the box humans developed by doing things like walking, running, thinking, lifting and carrying object's which can all be done by robot's now, the way humans are going they won't want muscles, if you like inventing thing's here are at least two, one, make smart phone's with a larger keyboard and someone please make a keyboard for a desk pc with larger spaces between the key's every thing seems to be made for girly fingers.......

@Adam@Rumen Actually that's one of the key features that we are currently working on :)
@forblue @Johnnyboxer I cannot argue with that, I love mowing my lawn using my old lawnmower and smell the gasoline and fresh-cut grass. Again, I wish I could share with you our product, the lawnmower is just the tip of the iceberg of what we are planning to offer our users.
We really aim to change the state of mind of how people treat their backyard, and in order to do that, we believe that the core, in our case the robotic lawnmower has to be perfect and offer much more than the current products at the market.

Thank you all. I really appreciate your participation!

You using word backyard is american, many people over here have very small if any decent size lawn's, not helped by one of Blair's cronies [ two jag's] who i know for a fact told housing developer's near me to put more house's on a particular site so gardens and room's were made smaller and at the moment with our weather we shall soon be growing rice......................

Is you development a flock of sheep?

Seriously, I am considering buying a robotic lawnmower as our lawn easily gets out of hand in the spring because we are too busy to mow it

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
