£143000 I was quoted within the last month. I think all robots have had a major price increase since the farm productively grants came along.
i was quoted a fair bit more than that for both lely and delaval, just waiting for fullwood to come back with a price to compare!

Thanks lads. Will be interesting to see what the price of all the robots will come down to once the grants are gone! Have a sales man coming out tomorrow so I'll keep ye posted.

If you don't want brand new, we have one coming out in July had will be around a year old. Latest spec c/w HD screen & the latest Central Unit.
We also, at the moment, have a couple of older machines (2013) that may be of interest if money is an issue. PM if you're interested.

It is also worth bearing in mind that Lely are on the verge of announcing either an A4 Next or A5. Both of which will see a goodish price hike (& may not be as reliable as tried & tested A4.0 & 4.1s)

Hi rick I'm across the sea in the south of Ireland and one of the reasons why I'm going robotic is the grant we get at the moment and it doesnt apply to secondhand mechines unfortunately.

We won't be putting in a robot until the end of 2019 because we've a lot of work still to do ie new shed and underpass for the cows so we decided to spread it out over the next 2yrs. We were talking to the sales man about any upgrades and he did say there is a new laser and also a new milk pump which empties the receiver jar quicker to allow the next cow to be milked much quicker after the last, but he didn't know if that was an upgrade or a new model.

Hmmm, salesman`s shite. In our experience by the time the new cow has come in & been brushed, the previous cows milk will be pumped away with time to spare.

Only time there is sometimes a delay if the shuttle is connected to take samples. 14 hours, once a month max. A faster pump would not help that situation

I hope they don’t go away from the bladders, yes they can split and need changing but they cause no issue with bacto scan, when we had A2’s with the old type pump if we ever got a high scan 9 times out of 10 it would be something to do with the pump, never had any issues what so ever with the A4’s regarding bacto.

I’ve no issue with bactoscan on a variable speed pump on my current parlour why would that be different to a robot, is it because they are running all day long?

We didn’t ever have an issue with the parlour pumps either but the A2’s did used to suffer with leaking milk behind the pressure plate. We even had the stainless steel plates machined back as the spacer used to cut into the back and counter sink it so a new spacer wouldn’t seal properly. I took those pumps apart than often for cleaning could prob do it with my eyes closed. Pretty sure the pumps on the A3’s are different to an A2 so can’t comment on how they perform. But the bladder is very easy to change and most of the time reliable.

Also the bladder is a very expensive item to replace.

Leonb , since you are in Ireland, and would be getting quoted in euro, have you taken into consideration the exchange rate as most of the forum users are quoting sterling?
