Do all the delaval robots use one vac pump per robot?
All the ones I've seen do, seems overkill as I would have thought one dvp900 would run two bots at least?
Or are they really vacuum hungry?
Thanks

Yep has to be 1 per robot to allow vacuum levels to rise and fall. But if placed near each other they can be linked to allow 2 robots to run off 1 pump temporarily if problems or servicing require it.

Thanks, that makes sense!

Lely A4 or A5 use one central unit with one vacuum pump and washing system (boiler, chemical pumps and water valves) per 2 robots. Vacuum level is maintained at each robot by a valve. Pump is vfd controlled by vacuum sensor in central unit.

On service contract with delaval as no dealer for vms in the north west now,
£2100 per month for 3 robots that's chemicals and consumables, call outs are extra and delaval won't service compressor so that's an extra cost else where.

Coars not in your area ?
We are paying £225/bot/mnth for all service time, travel and consumables.
Compressor is extra but a scroll compressor is an easy on farm service, but we need to replace one imminently which will be another £5k

Yeah few extras like grippers, does pump runners etc.
We service each one every month and check the other one for faults whilst out.
How many milkings roughly 6500
How come such a short service interval ? Our a4s are roughly 30000 between services and the a5s are cheaper to service due to us having a silicone bladder as a milk pump which costs circa £200 a pop and they sometimes do
