In simple terms 1000l of your cows milk per lactation is for electric!! Jesus paps there has to be ways to lower that
Extra 700k litres won't utilise anywhere near present usage, should drop average to below 2kw/cow/day
Biggest cost by far is production of air for bots, thats where the a5s are supposed to be less energy hungry

Using roughly 515/cow by my maths, that’s 3.1 milkings with about 1.65million litres. Got 80kw of solar aswell!

What robots are you running? Got 2 Lely a5s and farm meter (no house) uses 100kw/day for 1.2 million litres. Would like some solar but waiting to see if there will be another FIT scheme anytime soon
Our air compressor runs on average for 2-3 hours a day

Don't think you need to add " running robots" to you question.
Any leccy contract that comes up for renewal is going to be savage
Great is new technology but it all needs electric.
We've 3 robots 1.65 mill litres running at 1.26ppl, and thats farm house, younstock and dry cows. Thought it was high.
New electric contract starts october 2022. Maybe not such a bad deal looking about now.

Had the broker who sorted latest electric contract help me work out our usage, it’s a bit raw but looks somewhere near.

Have you thought about using an alternative compressor other than tank storage?
When we were running 4 then 6 bots, we had a direct supply. It appeared to use a lot less power as it was basically ticking over rather than going balls out to fill a tank on a regular basis
