Robotic milking

You can Change it manually when you calve them in, I think that if you don’t you’ll still have the same problem, as when you go to calving and then put in 3 days ago or whatever date, the separation until date doesn’t change. It has caught me out before with a calved cow bought in. I think that even changing the defaults won’t help.

Ok , so now you lot have been so helpful in helping me solve that query, maybe you can help with the next one please…! Is there a way to schedule the alarm calls, so on different nights different people get called first. Rather than keeping the priority order of what order it calls who the same, and having to manually change it on the computer each day. Thanks

It's good that you can get answers on here. Buy you have just invested heavily and here is the place to get simple set up answers. There seems to be something wrong with your dealer support.

Just get a basic dumb phone, and give it to the person who's on call. Make sure you have plenty of peoples numbers on the auto dialler just in case someone's out of range or phones turned off etc

The dealer who did the install has been absolutely brilliant ( Yeovil, not local but the closest!) , to be completely honest, so far we can not fault them. We’ve been so impressed and certainly wouldn’t have had that type of support from our local delaval dealer. From the very start designing the unit right through till now they’ve been great. Sometimes it’s just nice to get thoughts off actual farmers who are using the system day in day out to actually get the job done, see how they manage the system rather than to be hearing from lely people, or people who might not have the same priorities in what they want to find on a program. In respect to horizon, we know it’s new to everyone, so I think possibly some people might have found ways to do things differently to other people. First impressions, abit too flowery for me, but we still have alot to learn and I’m sure with time it’ll become more user friendly. Overall so far we can not fault the robots, absolutely brilliant!

There’s a really useful page on Facebook called ‘Lely robot users’ that might be worth joining, has users all over the world that help each other out! Glad to hear start up is going well for you!

Hi all I'm currently considering joining the robot community. Could anyone give me a guide as to what I'd expect to pay for 2 second hand Delaval vms classics (2017 model)?
