Rolland muck spreader

How reliable are they am only using poultry litter quite like there hood on the back for it. what is the gearboxs like and floor running gear I know there are not as heavy built as bunning or k2 but would only be for me seen a very nice bergmann but out of my price bracket

Poultry litter wet or dry?

Im going back a while now but the Rollands I used backalong swayed about in their axles to the point the wheels wore through the sides of the spreader. Back ends entirely bolted together which is a good thing or a bad thing. Gearboxes were nothing like the units used by Bunning etc. Double bed chains were ok but twice the moving parts and could bridge from time to time.

You can justify the Bergmann- careful application of poultry dung will save thousands from your nitrogen and P and K bill. Pop a few tonne an acre on in spring.

We’ve 2 and they’ve been fairly reliable we’ve had a few bed chains snap but as part of our contracting service they see allot of muck and plenty of foreign objects should add they aren’t the spinning disc type just straight up augers

Dry litter thanks for your help it's good to here from the horses mouth not a salesman have hired lots of different ones over the years I no the Bergmann is my answer but would need to change a tractor to for a few more donkeys on some of my hills

Can you just hire in a bigger tractor for a week to get the muck done?
