Rolland v12 -170 muck spreader

They are ok but I would rate Bunning as being better. Having said that it has been some years since I have worked with a rolland and they may have improved the design. The old 4 chain system meant double the amount of gubbinz in the machine and I think didn't help with bridging. Over time the ones I used would wobble about on their axles and the tyres near wore holes through the bodies.

For poultry muck, where you are applying lower rates of product, the spinning disc variants of spreaders is probably superior though I spread a lot of sewage with a regular machine, you just have the back door open a jiffy and it slides out steady.

The greater spreading width with discs may mean you can run on tramlines and get more done in a day as less driving around for each load.
