Roof repair on Polytunnel

Hi All
i have made a hole in my plastic roof on my Polytunnel - anyone got ideas of what tape/patches to use?

Mend on a hot day making sure both sides of the plastic are clean and DRY. Then stitch plastc together with short strips to pull plastic of hole together on the outside with similar strip on the inside sealing the two strips together. Finally crosshatch at 90 degrees to the short strips to seal the hole. Sounds over the top but the tape is crap if moisture gets into the glue. Done correctly it will last the lifetime of the plastic, get it wrong and you will be doing it again in 6 months.
