Cheviot Mule hoggs with Rouge x lambs. Non born before 12th April. I’m quite pleased with them
Aren't welshy ewes just a great little sheep, got some here with pure lambs born from 1st April and the lambs are are the same size as there mums, what ewe can do that in 8 weeks off rubbish ground.
Plus when you do have to put them through the pens (which is not very ofern) you cant stop them running in the race.
One of the reasons iv got a load of pure lambs is so that I can train them as lambs, some of those draft ewes are real bitches from running at the fences!Yes. If the bitches would just respect the fences I'd have thousands.
I had 1 jump new stock net with 2 strands of barb from a standing start. Just pronged straight over like a bloody deer. #DogFood. One of the reasons iv got a load of pure lambs is so that I can train them as lambs, some of those draft ewes are real bitches from running at the fences!
Iv taken on some HLS ground to run them on for little money and seem to be thriving there, I think if i put mules on it they would be dead by now!
Mine usually go under not over, but do seam to remember where they got out of. Much better to handle than mule yearlings that keep jumping.I had 1 jump new stock net with 2 strands of barb from a standing start. Just pronged straight over like a bloody deer. #DogFood.
Weighed these Roussin lambs yesterday.Roussin lambs at around 9 weeks, left is a gimmer's and the right is a hoggs lamb, in fairness both are singles, both were over 30kg a couple of weeks back.
Forgive the colour scheme, I'm working on it!

Weighed these lambs yesterday.
The white ewe lamb was 53kg and the black wether that belongs to the hogg was 55kg.
Tempting to keep the ewe lamb, but she's a single and is also worth a lot of money fat.
That's an itch I'll probably have to scratch at some point.Maybe you could cash her in and buy some pedigree ewes to breed a few of your own [emoji6]. She is a cracking looking ewe lamb though. There’s a sale at Exeter on 18th August or you could wait til Sept for Carlisle
I put my tup in with 530 ewe lambs today, actually I didn't, someone’s scabby Lleyn cross 20kg tup lamb was in with them when I went to check.
He looked bloody tired! I chucked it in the back of the truck with the dogs and some how he came out with a ear missing. That’ll be about 100 in lamb by now then.
Look good strong sheep them, make some bloody smart ewes
