round bale weighing system?

I used to weigh the odd one - had a weigh crush with a flat bit on top.

Whilst wrapping using the cuddler, put the bale gently on top of crush not removing the rollers all the way but moving them far enough away to prevent it altering the weight - this will then stop the bale falling off whilst you are out there pulling the handle and writing down the weight - simples we could even tag @Gator whilst we are discussing it.
Would @Gator be interested? Don't suppose it matters!!

most additives i have worked with worked on a dry matter basis, and i never had any issues of them not working, however the is one i would chose over the others as i seen it doing what it was to do, weigh cells wouldnt give a dry matter count.

all the additives talk about so many million bugs per gram, its a wonder there is any grass left
i want the weight system to give me a bale weight not a dm count, as you say that isnt possible from weighing a bale.
you can buy a hand held unit for the DM but i just want to know weight.

whic additive did you see doing the right job?, not forgetting my DM is averaging 70% odd.

britmilk multiferm, was silage fit to be ate the next day, was an organic farm and silage was buffer feed, have used others but this was diffently working, and it was a guess weight of bale and dm count.

britmilk arent listed in the exhibitor list for the show so i doubt they will be at it so i might give them a bell to see, im quite sure one could spend a lot of money on an additive and if it was the bees knees than fair enough but id like to get something that ticked the value box as much as the rest of them.

i would say that getting an additive that covers a very high DM content will be the tricky part.

cheers for that.

Assuming it's a side loading wrapper with hydraulic loading you could use a waylode system that uses hydraulic pressure or weigh cells on the pivot pin mounts. Can recommend speaking to Adam @alliedweighing though, very knowledgable and helpful.
I have a s/h one very cheap
