RP15 Concrete yard renewal on farm track?

Been pondering how I can improve my farm track which was never installed all that well to begin with and is now near impassable. RP4 livestock track grant only pays for new tracks and nothing to repair old. On farm stone is OK when laid dry but soon turns to mud in the wet. Concrete is best long term answer but track runs about 2km, so not a cheap exercise.

Has anyone tried to claim RP15 concrete grant on farm tracks?

Reading the spec blurb -

You can use this item:

  • in high traffic areas or in livestock movement and loafing areas
  • on uncovered outdoor yards made of concrete, hardcore, tarmac or bare earth
  • to reduce foul drainage volumes and runoff, make cleaning easier and reduce the risk of water and air pollution.
  • to help separate clean and dirty water
Will need to get our Catchment officer onboard, but reckon we can argue track is high traffic area and used for livestock movements and feeding/holding livestock in wet weather etc.

It's a bit of a stretch but may work. Be good to know if anyone else has tried something similar?

We have just had an application go in to concrete the area in front of one of our cattle sheds . This area also includes part of the farm lane , the acceptance has come back but not including the area over the track. It clearly says that if we concrete the track area we will not ge able to claim for it .
Our farm lane is over 3/4 mile long and we have tried allsorts of scheme applications to get help re- surfacing it but all have failed 😒😒
