Old baler I know but just curious to see what people bale at?

I normally sit between 6-9 K and that's purely because that's where my spliters will take me, what's everyone else at?

how thick a swath ..... how dry is the crop.... how rough is the field ...... aslong as the machine is working well that in my opinion is the key........as i get older i think i would much rather be in the seat with the air con on listening to the cricket match on the radio than be layed under a baler because i pushed it to hard ...so what ever you and the machine are happy with.

RP 220 has a reasonable output still. Probably was the best at the time. I quite rate them as a good baler. As said above less can easily be more by the time you’ve unblocked it a few times or snapped a chain

My opinions exactly, more curiosity than anything. Got be from an old chain and slat machine for years and had the 220 for a few seasons now. Cracking baler but I’ve never really pushed her to see what it’s happy at. I’ve got all the time in the world and am happy to take it easy to be honest

There’s not much more of an improvement for output with balers recently with pick ups and feed rotors. Problem with pushing on is that the bales won’t be as hard but it’s all down to the job in hand. Ran a rp220 for a decade or so and could do easily over 60 an hour but it’s a compromise. Rp435 replaced it and there’s not a difference feed intake wise so output isn’t much difference bales per hour but there’s more in every bale.
