Ok, so I'm putting my car into my garage tonight and now the ruddy thing is stuck in park and across my drive and I cannot move the bl**dy thing.
FFS.
Anyone know how to get out of this mess,it seems to have lost the tension on the gear stick release button.
Its on a 14 plate :mad:.

look by the nice shinny cover that goes around gear stick. If you look close you will see where you can pry it off and press alever hidden to manually put it into neutral.... Or look in manual, it tells you in there!

@Robt
Had a look in the manual,say ring main stealer dealer.
Looks like I'm going to get well and truly shafted.

As said above you could also do this in a D4. For that it was remove the cup holders and pull the yellow lever.
That is for handbrake servo failure isn't it?

As intimated previously, I have never found an automatic by any manufacturer, Japanese, British American or otherwise that didn't need the foot brake applied to disable the park lock.
Start simple with brake lights and fuses!!
