Rubber Tracks Quadtrac

Hi, I'm looking for some old scrap quadtracs which are the wider 36" tracks or some narrow CAT type tracks around 18" wide, either scrapped from being torn or the middle ripped out. Looking to use them on a steam engine if anyones got any to get rid of.

Cheers,

Aaron

Cheers Elliot , any luck are they 36" wide tracks?

Hello yeah sorry I asked them today and the assistant manager said they wanted to keep some but scrap others, but trying to get a firm answer is tricky as the manager is away on holiday, so won't know until he is back. Had a quick measure with my leatherman and they seemed to be 32" but it was very rough, so must be the 36". Will keep trying for you. The farm is in Kent towards margate. Where abouts are you?

Ah thanks for looking anyway, the 36" seem to be hard to find compared with the 30s, and I'm from the midlands near leicester

Do you mean that once cut down the middle [making 15'' strip ]that the tread would be 12'' wide ?
I was thinking of the OP wanting 36", just put 30" down the middle and leave the inner and outer edge of you wheel uncovered ie 3" each side.
But actually your idea of cutting down the middle would be better in case you touched a kerb etc and have 6" missing in the middle, it would be do-able as the left and right cleats dont overlap the middle.

PS. I have 5 tracks on the heap!
