Running heifers and bullocks together

Starting to plan groups for turnout - the numbers, sex and weights are making it difficult to group them in accordance with sex and weight. Is there any issues running bullocks and heifers together as long as they are similar weights? I would have a nice group of 20 @ 300+kg that would suit a small out farm nicely - layout does not suit splitting them if i am to be able to paddock graze them.
Whats your thoughts?

We have in the past run a few AAx bullocks with their peer group of Hol Heifers. The only problem we ever had was an 'immaculate conception' heifer that calved full size calf to AA 4 months before due date from when the bull went in. He DEFINITELY didn't have the chance to serve her before he was put in the yard and she wasn't seen bulling which is why she was not AI'd. So, at some point, an AAx steer (rig?) served her but none of the others and he was not noticeable as a rig. We did pull them out separately to finish the beasts as the in-calf Hol heifers would have got too fat.

That's the only snag if there happens to be a rig

Aslong as the steers aint riggs you be okay, but as been mentioned, heifers bad enough for riding every 21days, plus the one or two bulloks.....last thing you want is a bullok coming down on a stone or buggering up his leg or something!! Sets them back then, if you can id split!!

Exactly, 20 odd Heifers averages one on heat every day, a few of the bullocks will be riding on them pretty much full time and will be doing a lot less gain than they could be, that's before any injuries are taken into account.

I don't find the bullocks are riding the heifers any more than the other heifers in the bunch do really. If there's 40-50 in the group then the bullocks(not very many admittedly) won't be the ones stirring it up,most of them aren't much bothered..
