Russian Interference in Elections

Putin in power for another 26 years. That's some stroke. I just dont understand how he does it. To be able to handle the KGB, Russian mafia, Oligarchs, not only handle but come out on top and stay there and alive?? Its no wonder he's playing the world with elections and God knows what else when it comes to electronic espionage. He def put Trump in, and I dont follow politics to know, but I am sure he has placed people elsewhere around the world too. As he says himself, 'prove it'.

Are you taking the p!ss? He doesn't 'handle' all that lot, he's there because of them; he's their place-man, their servant, at their beck and call. (y)

Can't say I agree. Isn't he one of the worlds wealthiest people, like top 3? I think his biggest challenge will be staying alive for the next 26 years. When you get that big and wealthy, theres always someone younger, with ambition.

When all this was announced on the BBC radio news yesterday about Russian interference in the Scottish 'referendum', I'm thinking something doesn't quite add up. Then they cut to a very excited Stewart Hosie, SNP MP, the reports co-author, who sounded like he was 'pleasuring himself' at the thought the SNP could bullsh1t their way to having another neverendum.
And the BBC fell for it, hook line and sinker, bless 'em

BTW I do like it when staff members start a thread in Agricultural Matters when it should be in politics.....

Hmmm.......the puppeteers in the background......:blackalien:

Its more than just politics though. They also mess with market's. Plus my NFU reference doesn't work in politics! ;)

I'm really not happy that the Govt and it's supporters seem to not really give a sh!t that the Russians are literally trying to meddle in our elections, I'm a unionist but if the scottish public genuinely want another ref than in a decade or so they should get another when things stabilise a bit.

It's absolutely obvious to pretty much a big chunk of the population that the russians have an unhealthy amount of influence with the government.

Stewart Hosie is desperately seeking attention for another referendum. All this talk of ‘Reds under the bed’ just smacks of hysterics.
The only connection between Russia and meddling in Scottish politics is a certain presenter on the Russia Today TV channel: one Alex Salmond, recently described by his own QC as “an arsehole”, and the man who is rumoured to be about to bring down Nicola Sturgeon in court.
