I am watching Newsnight. Are the Tories seriously going to ask the nation to pay more tax for military jets and toys!!?? 3 pence on income tax mooted. My goodness - health, social care, housing, education - no it is to buy military toys. For what - Russia!? I cannot believe what a mess the Tories are in. To go back to the OP Ruth Davidson will have some work cut out.

I think a modest rise in income tax would be acceptable to many if it meant the NHS wasn't at breaking point all winter and there were enough police to actually investigate a few more crimes. Three pence sounds a bit steep though?

Congratulations - hope your daughter and baby doing well. Turning to Ms Davidson, I am pleased for her too, but I thought having babies was a natural condition for females of the species.
