Same Silver throttle memory button

Quick question, probably a dumb question, but can someone explain how to use the throttle memory system on my Same Silver 130? The hand throttle panel fitted is the same as the one shown below, it only has one round red memory button on it:

So I can drive along with the foot throttle, hit the red button and it will hold that engine speed.
Press the red button again and it will cancel and return to idle.
If I hit the red button again, it will go back to the memorized rpm.

How do I clear the memory and set a new engine speed? (apart from turning the engine off and on again).

As above, will cancel original setting with new one each time, think from memory it may bleep when you’ve held the button long enough, can’t remember now but I just counted to five on my left hand!

You can do it with the hand throttle as well just gradually move it up to the engine speed required .
When its at the rpm setting you want, press the button and hold in for a short while and until the red light comes on , then back off the hand throttle to the tick over position and its all set ( overriding previous setting ) with just the button to press m omentary and release for the newly set rev setting to occur.
An extra benefit is that When the revs setting is 'on the button ' it will (up to,a point) alter the revs automatically to keep them constant if /when underload the engine gets pulled down, great for using pto implements ( I find it excellent on a pto genny) ie constant power .

Important note, never use it for road work.!!

Thanks everyone, I mustn't have been holding it down for long enough. Tried it this morning and it worked well.

Next step is to work out the electronic draft control, but that's a problem for another day.

Yes, works very well under load and on overrun. Although I do miss having a mechanical hand and foot throttle at times, the electronic ones fitted to these old Sames feel like they're stuck to the engine with a rubber band.

That's not my tractor, I stole that pic from the internet because I was too lazy/cold to go and take a photo.

My one looks like this

Good thing there's a plastic cover over it all, I dare not touch any of it in case it stops working completely :ROFLMAO: Not to worry, this machine will probably never do any draft work in its life.

Just make sure you keep it in position control at all times unless with a soil engaging nachine. . Bottom right is how sensitive it is, bottom left is rate of drop, centre IIRC is wheel slip input and top right is max height it will lift to when using rocker switch.

So set wheel dial to depth or how low you need arms to go, max height to how high (eg a topper or PH that doed not need to come to the top to protect the PTO shaft) and use the tocker to lift and drop in one sweep.

You have the hitch button at the back aswell?
