As above or similar, Are they any good ?
Pulling heads off and rubbing them out by hand is getting a bit boring.
Just like to get a representive, accurate sample, without going in with the combine.
We have to travel a bit for some work and sometimes the crop isn't as fit as the customer might think !
I've seen us in 4 fields before finding one fit, a very expensive moisture tester.
thanks.

Expensive, but very good. have had one for about 7 years now, and its saved us the outlay many, many times over in shifting the combine. Worth every penny, particularly if you need a large sample for your moisture meter. Great for getting representative samples.

As above, brilliant for doing samples across a spread of fields to decide where to move combine to, and to get a large representative sample.
When sampling by hand it human nature to get the tallest or ripest heads, this gets several heads in one ‘grab’ so is more accurate
I’ve also found when we used to rub out by hand and the meter read say 17%, we’d start cutting and the moisture would be 18%, with the minibatt, the sampled grain’s is similar to what the harvested moisture is

Agree with all of the above, definitely worth the money. As well as those use, you can take samples a week or more before combine rolls and know what you have regards protein etc. Helps prioritise work load. We also take early samples to get a view on germ in seed crops. Had one maybe 5 years, couldn't imagine not having it now!

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
