How much is everyone paying for sausage making?
I got 3 pigs all about 75kg dead weight.
All I want is sausages and chops out of them.
How much is a reasonable price to pay?
Got four in butchers now.
One for bacon.
Three for jointing, chopping and sausage from off cuts.
There will be charges for cutting, curing and sausage making.
Will post charges later.
Thats cheap!
We've been charged up to £3.80/ kg, plus killing and cutting.
A bit of shopping around gets that down to more like your level. But anything from £2 - £3 is reasonable.
£50 to deliver 4 pigs to preferred abattoir. Approx 30 miles (Shared Ifor trailer load).
£149 all slaughter related charges and delivery back to my butcher.
£25. 50 each cutting and bagging charge. Joints, chops, etc.
98plb sausage making and bagging.
