It is for us, we invoice for any work done through a third party contractor. Pain in the arse. Small jobs they do sanction they will only pay by credit card so we had to get a card reader, which turned out to be uneconomical.

Presumably you contracted on your terms so you can elect to charge interest on overdue accounts

This is normal for Savills, though the people in charge of the jobs should have asked for this paperwork before you started, along with risk assessments, method statements etc. (if that's the kind of work you were doing, not professional)

I'd be careful about threatening the small claims court - they are a firm of agents who know the law but by all means give them grief for not following their own procedures and messing with your cash flow as a result.

I learnt this when I started doing full time digger work 20 odd years ago.get a call at short notice with job numbers etc.do work and send bill and then chase it only to be asked for copies of this that and the other.often waiting 4/6 months for money.

We used to be in Safe Contractor. Useless administrators who were only interested in taking in the money, not providing any kind of value or help. They didn’t even think to ask tree surgeons for their chainsaw certification... Eejits.

I told savills ive no intention of filling forms in i just want paid.why these wealthy landowners employ these companies beats me as they will certainly be taking their share.which has to come from somewhere.
You won't get paid then! The form only took ten min as long as you put name address insurance details if you employ less than five you just put a line through rest as not appicable easy

Do you really think the land owner would/could have done a better job themselves? Not everyone who invests in land want to be involved with all the detailed management.
Probably not, but then they're paying someone to look after their land and interests.

The agents are instructing contractors on the basis of being able to fill in a form and they end up paying more for it.
