Please post pics, I've been trying to think of ways to spread sawdust with speanding over a grand on a couple of wheels under a dustbin!! I've got an old teagle versitile spreader(fert spreader that held half a big bag) and try to adapt it, but thats as far as I got. Needs to be electric really? When you say circular saw did you mean belt sander?

Don't like his chances of making anything if he has got those two mixed up. :)

imagine a circular saw on its side fixed to the side of a 45 g drum at the bottom .some cup type things like on disc fert spreader fixed to the blade to pull sawdust from inside the barrel and flick it outside
the prob i got is the speed of the blade
cordless so that i can take the battery off and charge between use
will put angled floor in barrell to direct sawdust to blade

Would a belt sander not do the same but with variable speed? just got to keep sawdust on the belt for short distance? Think thats what the Ag one uses?

the mini ag has a fert spinner type disc that is where my idea comes from
it is a bit too slow for sawdust good for lime and powders as doesnt cause too much dust

We've a an ag maxi, it's also got an agitator in the bottom of the tub as well as the conveyor. You'll have to put some kind of " stirrer" in your drum or the sawdust simply won't come out,

That wounldn.t be hard to do with OP's idea of circular saw!

was searching for a suitable disc last week you have spurred me on to get it done
so does yours not work at all @rc mx110
worked well empty,
Made mine for lime,
hooked it up to quad battery with a simple on off switch.
Like you are thinking used half of a steel drum, made a spout. paddle on a shaft to flick it out.
Then a floor above that with a hole just above the spout (adjustable with a plastic slider). with a agitating paddle to push the lime over the hole.
I need to have another go with it and put a slightly stronger motor on it.
I picked a wiper moter as it was slow enough, but its output shaft wasn't big enough to fix much to it.
If everyone promises not to laugh at it I may show it.
To the untrained eye it looks like half a can on wheels with a lawn mower handle.

Even with the AG dispensers, the material still sticks and needs a bounce to get it to drop! They have a disc agitator and prongs on at the bottom of the drum to make the sawdust drop but still isn't brilliant :/
