Have been advised to clean out and start again. Apparently it goes like porridge eventually. I've been taking advice from the islanders up north! @bigw

We have just cleaned out along the feed fence for the first time @Chae1 hopefully it will a few weeks yet till we have to clean the whole thing out. Cattle are very clean on it still, how are you doing with it?

We can get it for about £6.50 ton plus delivery
So you put about 8" in at the start of winter then leave well alone until it turns to porridge then clean out and start again? Does the sand have any nutralising value? (as in ph) Could lime be used instead?
