1) Alcohol is extortionate at these venues
2) Things move very slowly in research circles

Highlights --- couldn't divulge the best bits but @neilo got a mention and @George C gave a great performance (even managing to wake up dozing academics )

Ah well, number 1 doesn't affect me as I only take a small sherry at Christmas anyway. I'll have a look at the presentations viz a viz number 2.

I definately agree re research and I would suggest that many of the ram breeders present are responding so eagerly to market signals because they are seriously at the sharp end of the industry

A tad unkind methinks and no I did not but not a lot over. 10 mins seems a very long time when listening and frighteningly short when speaking and you have lots to say.
