Scamming on facebook marketplace?

Hi, not sure where to put this...

I'm looking to buy an anvil. Not the sort of thing you can stick a stamp on and post.
There are various posts on facebook that pop up with anvils at £130ish, when they are fetching £250 plus. They are all just going to work, just left the yard but will be back later etc. Then they ask for a deposit to hold it for you.
The location of the seller doesn't match the location of the anvil. If they can scam £20 or £50 as a deposit every time it's not a bad hourly rate is it?

Be careful out there.

I've been looking for some used kit to replace our stolen stuff. There's ads for brand new Stihl chainsaw for£73,pressure washers for £80. You can't think anyone would fall for them but I bet someone has somewhere.

You need to see, and test it, before parting with the dosh. For quality work you need sound faces and obviously its best to crack test it by listening to it ring when struck.
