I have a couple of questions, maybe one of you more informed people could help me with pls?

So all pupils that returning to school next wk are expected to have a lateral flow Covid test. So this will potentially add several million more results to the the tests carried out data Yes? And will the positives be added to the daily number that is read out on the news?

Do lateral flow test results even get added to the positive number list or is that only for proper lab identified results?

No not compulsory, my sisters boy refused it and he’s back at school.

My children have all taken the test.
Reason I asked was because I came across someone who refused to let his kids be tested because he didn't want to 'self isolate' ....fairly selfish I thought .
Personally I think it should be compulsory ..... not that it affects me !

If you have a positive lateral flow you then have to take a PCR test .

My son found this when he was testing in the schools in Liverpool with the army in December. The non consents were mostly from folks that couldn't afford to isolate if a positive showed up in their kids.

The ruling and administration civil service public sector employees safe in pay, pensions and terms of employment work rights that allow for ongoing self isolation have come up possibly for the first time the reality of life for a substantial sector of our society. Previously the contact would often have been benefits claimants. I have listened to many a politician and medial person speak on this. And the argument on how much you pay these folk to self isolate. Of course cash isn't always the issue - no turn up then no job the following week.

They are including in the daily number it seems.
Test numbers doubled the other day to 1.5 million due to school testing.
