Two Scottish farms have been selected to develop their tourism-based businesses with the intention of encouraging other farmers to follow suit.
The two new ‘agri-tourism monitor farms,’ located in East Lothian and Dunbartonshire, aim to help the farming industry improve profitability, productivity and sustainability.
Shantron and Castleton Farms are examples of farmers in Scotland developing agri-tourism businesses, which have helped drive new income streams and generate thousands of visitors on to farms to learn about where their food comes from.
