Good plan. I'm putting the bulls out tomorrow. They can run with the cows 365.

how does the average number of dams arrive at 401k ?

Presumably there are other years included in the calculation that aren't shown on the table.

and what difference to payments will the CI make?

If there dam doesn't meet the calving index target then her calf isn't eligible for Scottish calf sub (£100 iirc?)

I had a dead full term calf once because of a stupid wee vet. Didn't know what she was doing. I phoned the boss but it was too late by the time he got there. She was gone within a week and I had an apology. Still had a dead calf tho.
So what would the sh!t for brains at Scot Gov do with that one?? A good cow too.
