Sealing a weeping wall to contain liquid slurry

Thinking of sealing our weeping wall slurry pit into a lagoon for liquid slurry which we can pump out.
Thinking it’ll be a fairly simple job of lining the internal walls and sealing up the entrance, has anyone one else done it and any products recommended?

How big a gap are you looking to seal? Any pictures?
Would a vertical galvanized plate with threaded bar fixed with another plate horizontally at intervals to hold it in place work?
The internal pressure would keep it sealed against the panels. Maybe some mastic between plate and panel would help but knowing what muck is like it would soon seal itself.

I cant imagine how this could be ssafo compliant. If it did fail i cant imagine NRW would be very lenient, or the insurance company.

Thoughts are to knock lengths of wood into slots, line the inside with proper liner, then back fill against outside of panels with earth for extra support

I don't think they will need extra support. I would use a liner along the walls fixed at the base with a strip of tied in concrete. I would use a cut out pipe section along the top of the wall to protect from edges and secure the liner on the outside. I haven't done this but have 2 weeping walls on my farms so have thought about the options and pitfalls.

Local one was done by banking clay up behind the panels.

I’d be battening some nicoflex 800 to the inside, you can buy it in 2m width rolls and it’s used for slurry lagoon lining.

Just a thought - was the present wall designed to take the force of a liquid lagoon inside it? It's possible that it was, but there may well be significantly more outwards force if the slots are sealed up.

That was my first thought too. Worth asking the manufacturers and installers.
