I am curious what you are most concerned about with regards to rural crime - what do you worry about the most, and what will have the biggest impact on you and/or your business if you were a target of criminals. In no particular order, please select your top three concerns. I'm also interested in what areas you are, to see if there are any regionally specific issues.

Area - NE Scotland, concerns - Fuel, 4X4's & small equipment - they are the most regularly reported locally, incidentally these items are increasingly being pilfered by people from far outwith the area either being part of organised groups or independent opportunists.

Thank you.

Yes, in recent years one strategy has been for local crime groups to do reconnaissance (or a member of the related/connected group which are located some distance away to be “seconded” to the local group).

They then share information with each other, and each carry out the crime on the other’s “patch”. It is an attempt to avoid being recognised by the local police force as a “known criminal”, and evade local police “intelligence”/information sharing with local rural watch groups.
