Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Emma, and I am currently a student at the University of Leeds. Now I am researching adopting silvopastoral systems among farmers, landowners, and land managers in England. Silvopastoral systems integrates trees, forage, and livestock on the same land.

The purpose of this study is to explore the drivers and barriers to adopting silvopastoral practices among farmers and landowners. Understanding these factors is crucial to enhancing the sustainability and effectiveness of these systems across the UK.

I would greatly appreciate your participation in a brief online questionnaire that aims to gather insights from those involved in or familiar with agricultural practices. Whether you’re a farmer, landowner, or agroforestry enthusiast, your input would be incredibly valuable.

Participation details:

  • Time required: Approximately 20 minutes
  • Questionnaire link: https://forms.office.com/e/FzfUy4Qqjb.
  • Confidentiality: All responses will be kept confidential and used solely for academic purposes.
Your insights will help shape future recommendations for policy and practice improvements in agroforestry. If you have any questions or need further information before participating, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to our understanding of silvopastoral practices. I look forward to your valuable input.

Warm regards,
Emma

Hi Emma

Is this for undergraduate study or postgraduate? Will you be sharing your findings?

You could consider approaching the Pasture for Life association to see whether they would share it across their members (who are more likely to be contemplating or running silvopasture systems).

Try contacting Nikki Yoxall or Charlotte Wheeler:

Hello holwellcourtfarm,

This is for postgraduate study. Yes, We'd like to share the findings if we can collect more responses.

Thank you for your advice, too. Yes, I've contacted the Pasture for Life Association and got feedback from them. They are going to put my questionnaire into the newsletter. However since my research time is tight, I need to find more farmers/landowners/land managers to join the questionnaire and collect data as much as I can.

Thank you for your information. I really appreciate it. Have a good day.
