My grandparents were at Pheasant Oak farm next door to Hickes and we were at Rosemary Farm we kept a lot chickens at both farms back in the seventies and eighties.

Well Hicks are at the end of Hob Lane. My family farm is further along, opposite the school.

My brother still lives there.

Did you have a sister at Heart Of England school early-mid eighties? Name escapes me now.

I think Rosemary Farm is little industrial units now. I cleaned some sheds out there 30 years ago with my Bobcat loader I think.

I did go to Heart of England but I had no sister I left in 81. We left Rosemary Farm in 1990. So you must have worked for the new owners. I understand they have built some houses where the old chicken pens were.

Ah yes.

Jeff passed away a few years ago now. I used to spread his lime and still go there for the new tenant.

I have an idea I’m getting mixed up. Where exactly is/was Rosemary Farm? I can see the sign in my mind but buggered if I can place it!!!

Rosemary was at Oldwich Lane in West we used to sell eggs from there.

Yes, Fletcher’s are still there. They don’t milk any more, all arable. We have been spreading lime there for 30 years.

Richard Fletcher passed away last year. A smashing chap to work for, I really enjoyed working for him. Tony and Jerry are cut from the same cloth too. The farm is spotless and their farming pretty much faultless.
