Sensitivity of rainfall radar, do they vary?

I do not know how many weather radars are in use besides the Met office one but if their are any independent weather radars operating ,do different types/makes vary in their sensitivity to showing / predicting rain fall coverage.

Netweather here as well, the yalso have a very good forum for all things weather related!!
Re radar, sometimes it does show rain in say your area but often it doesnt hit the ground, but tends to happen more in a marginal event.

I use / like netweather but there have been occasions when I'm sat here watching rain out the window and it is not showing anything on the radar.

I use the raintoday app. Find it pretty good.

I used to use that, and found it very good, but now when I go on the site the screen is darkened and it says 'For development purposes only' all over like a watermark. Thats using windows 10 and chrome. It must have gone funny about 2 years ago, prior to that it was very good.
