SFI and CS - Can you claim GS15 as well as CS LIG1? RPA cant seem to tell me and dance around the bushes.

As it says, I know you can claim GS15 and GS4 together but can you claim GS15 in CS and LIG1 on sfi, given that LIG1 and GS4 are broadly the same and the same payment rate.

THe helpline has given me 3 answers - No you cant, its double funding (doesnt make sense)
yes you can because LIG1 and GS4 are equivalents

and "Email it in because im just on the helpline but dont know"

This is after one staff member spent 3 mins without me asking explaining that GS15 was some organic conversion option before going "sorry just reading the wrong thing".

the guidance doesnt offer any clarity on these, and the deadline is approaching - but my email of 4 weeks ago has not been replied to yet....

Do you mean GS15 supplement with GS4 or with GS5 ? As I read the GS15 guidance it states it is a supplement to a mid tier option only. Whilst LIG1 and GS5 are pretty much equivalent they are separate schemes so CSS GS15 is not available as a supplement to SFI LIG1... SFI rules would not prevent GS5 with LIG1 but CSS "only in combination with..." rules surely do. Your choice as I see it is a CSS 5 years agreement with GS5 and GS15 supplement, or SFI 3 years with LIG1 and hope that a GS15 equivalent is in the next round of options and you can bolt it on later.

ps I accept no responsibility should Defra/RPA choose to implement their own rules differently to how I read them.
