SFI - Self Help and Tips

Has anyone been using the new "request rural land changes" tab on the RPA website rather than RLE1 forms?
I want to remove a couple of land parcels and split some other land parcels so I can take whole parcel SFI options on just the areas I want to. Would I perform both of these options on the "All other land changes options"? by submitting annotated maps?
Not sure if it is any easier than RLE1s at this stage
Yes, when you submit the changes they will ask the purpose of the change. There will be an option to tick that you are changing for an SFI agreement, it would appear that the RPA are prioritising these.

Anyone had this one? Created application, quite straightforward with no surprises and the summary totals for the 3 years agreed with what I was expecting. Submitted and got the application summary, thought I'd just have a look, and all the area-related actions on 5 parcels are missing, with expected impact on the bottom line.

Now, I know what has happened - I changed the land use on these parcels during the application process, as they were TG01 in BPS 2023 and I didn't want to get the IPM4 bounced (they're now in crop). Probably shouldn't have bothered, as it seems to allow IPM4 on TG01 (?), but what now? Will it come good, or will a wrong offer arrive and I have to decide whether to reject it, wait for it to die, and submit anew or accept and do another for the missing stuff?

I raised a query with the reply "Customer has been responded to" which is helpful!

Yep had exactly this too. Spoke to Jake I think it was on the help line several times who to be fair was very pleasant and as helpful as he could be. I think it's happened to a few folk and they don't seem to know why. I ended up having to reject the offer when it came through then start another application which went through fine. Only thing you have to watch out for it after you have rejected the offer you have to wait for them to process the rejection or you can't select the same options for the same parcels as the system still have them logged onto the original application. It took them about 2 weeks to cancel my first application after I had rejected it, and I was chasing them up quite often as I wanted a start date of 1 March which was looming fast! Thought I was going to miss it as couldn't put second application in until the 28th February. But they came back with an offer on the second application on the 29th!

I had the same had to reject it and start again. After you’ve rejected it you can ring up and they can make all your parcels live again while your on the call. Thats what they did for me.

Anyone with experience of what happens with multiple offers with agreement-level actions on them?

As a result of sorting my earlier application issues, I've 2 offers, both with IPM1 etc on them. Don't mind which one they chop (even better if they don't!), but the earlier app is less than 50Ha, so sod's law dictates that I'll only get a reduced management payment.

TIA.

Question for the knowledgeable, my better half is helping a friend get her head around sfi and stewardship as her son has passed away and she’s been dropped in to the middle of the paper work!!
So the query thats come to light is, one of the fields has a stewardship agreement on it running from jan last year to the end of 2027 which states that it should be in a two year legume fallow but the land agent also has it down in sfi (just agreed) for flower rich borders and half bird feed. Can this be right??

Hypothetically and legally she would ring RPA tmrw and cancel the SFI and keep the CS... if that is for real... which it cant be...

Yes, so not till Sept 2025 could the legume fallow fields be put into alternative SFI options.

Assuming the AB15 legume fallow is the whole parcel area?

The legume fallow should be on a 40 acre field, the same field has an sfi agreement excepted which says there should be a twelve metre legume strip going around two sides of it and a ten acre patch of flowers on one side and nothing in the middle.
