Sharps disposal and antibiotic bottles

Hi all.
I was wondering where or who are the best for getting rid of all our old sharp's (needle's from syringes and vaccinating guns) and also all of our empty antibiotic bottles. Its an expensive job so just want the cheapest and easiest way to do it.. Cheers all. Oh based in Devon.

All that should ever go in a sharps bin are needles (or scalpel blades if you use them). Don't fill them up with syringes, caps, screws and other rubbish. A 4 litre sharps bin should last a big farmer many years. We use the big 7 litre ones and only get through a few per year in the whole practice!

If you get the sharps bin from the vet it will generally include the cost of disposal. They are just over £10 IIRC.

We dispose of bottles by weight - based on the cost of the big yellow bins we have to pay to get rid of. I once got one for a farmer. They cost about ~£120 for the bin (again including disposal).

Wash out calcium bottles and burn or recycle them.

200 litre drum. Standard drug bottles just fit through top hole. Acceptable with farm assurance. One drum lasts years. Goes with standard plastic disposal

No - its pharmaceutical waste and I doubt they have the correct license and give you the correct paperwork.
