I used clik extra on lambs early may. Just wondering after i shear ewe lambs tomorrow witlll they still be covered with clik? Only a few weeks prevention left and the season is drawing in but just curious. Does it stick to the wool or the skin?

I clipped my ewe lambs just over a week ago. I’m going to get some vectocert on them this week. There is still plenty of the fly season ahead, so I’d rather be protected . But as mentioned click sticks to the wool, so your lambs will have no protection left !

Think i will leave thems for a couple weeks and see. They will be getting dipped in end of September anyway. Ectofly would likey be sufficient and not the price of click...?

found ectofly a poor product overall. The mist of it was so fine it gets on you and burns. Also had sheep struck after applying it.

You must have a serious fly problem............and a very expensive one.............. if you have given your lambs Clik Extra, then shorn them; followed by ectofly and then dipping !!

Once shorn, they should be fly free for a minimum of 3 weeks. Ectofly or similar should then hopefully last the rest of the season.

I presume the dipping is for scab prevention and not fly ??

I am maybe just being ott. Clik extra early may so can start getting lambs early june. First time ive ever full clipped them. Always dip everything once a year. Most these ewe lambs head away for winter so that have to be 100%.
