Does anyone shear more than once across the summer for any reason? Or have they in the past? If so what was the thinking behind it. I have been given a stack of rough marshes for the summer where there is a load of bramble, little bits of deadly deep water and mature willows. So my thinking is flys, bramble and water are a bad mix for dry ewes with a fleece but OK for freshly sheared dry ewes. No one else wants them so I can stay for nothing until November. So is it feasible to shear every 2-3 months to take advantage?
