Sheep dog training

I don't know if anyone on here can help, but I have a 10month old red sheep dog, anyway, he's showing potential but I don't have the time or the expertise to get him to where I need him. Only basic come bye away and laydown walk on type.

I normally use the quad and so want the dog to work with me driving them away. I have a good one at the moment but she's getting on in years. Happy to pay the going rate, just don't want to waste his potential.

Many thanks

Most people that take dogs in for training like them to be a little older than 10 months, usually 14 months or so. They can take the pressure more as they are a bit more mature in the way they handle being trained.
Depending on how far you want to travel I could pm you some phone numbers of people round me (Lancashire) that train them.

Yes distance is not an issue as there's not many around south Lincs anyway! Yes please pm me some numbers, I just need advice of when and who and I will go with it. English speaking is always good for me as otherwise only my wife will be able to communicate!

Another recc for Paul Tompkins. I’ve not sent any to him to train, but both my current working dogs came from him, and I saw him a fortnight ago to get a bitch covered.
A straighter chap you couldn’t ask to meet imo. If he can’t do anything for you/her, he’ll tell you so, rather than try to milk you dry (as some would).(y)
He’s an English speaker too, as you mentioned it.;)

How much would most people expect to pay per week for sending there dog off to get trained!

Has anyone any previous dealings with Katy Cropper in Cumbria???
