sheep not cleansed since

had to pull a big single off a ewe on wednsday morning. gave her some normocillin the following night as noticed she hadnt cleansed properly and noticed again today she still hadnt. running around and eating as normal.

what can i do

Id just keep an eye on her, so long as she is happy and eating leave it for now.

I had one this year. She finally dropped the cleanse 5 days after birthing. I think it is either virtually immediate or it then takes 4-5 days for the cotyledons to break down. Mine had no antibiotics as she looked well and ate with the rest.

Had one this time . A/B'd and Vet said to also give a shot of Metacam and either Calcium or the Ewego drench . Used the drench for ease ....

So long as she's not got a temperature then turn her out, the extra walking will work it loose

thats her still not properly cleansed. still acting as normal though

We had one this year and it took 7 days to eventually come away. We gave her no meds and couple of weeks later there doesn’t seem to be any ill effects.
