Sheep with cloudy eyes

I've got a few sheep with cloudy eyes. I think it's very infectious so quickly isolate them. Had it happen last year too. What causes it and what is the best cure?

It's probably pinkeye, pull the eyelids back and see if the white of the eye is red and inflamed looking. Opticlox eye tube might sort it, if that doesn't work a bubble (1cc) of terramycin below the bottom eyelid is the best way of treating it. You might have to get your vet to show you how to do this, it's not that difficult after you've done a couple.

I’m not sure what’s cheaper opticlox or orbenin eye ointment but orbenin I’ve always used. Long haylage/straw/trough feeding/long grass can all make it develop..
