It depends how many and who is going to see you.

Strictly speaking yes, i think so as change of use which should attract rates, which may be exempt under small rates relief.

If you are talking of a few then it may not get noticed but for a lot you need to think about planning.

There a few on the scene but I’m not sure what they really bring to party that a planning guy and a little time spent on research wont do

You will more thank likely have to pay business rates and apply for planning permission if you are going to put a number of containers on your land for self storage.
