When we drill grass for customers we use our combie with the coulters lifted 2 ft off the ground and the fan speed as high as it will go and then roll after .
Joking aside , if you had a top cover that could be split three ways with diverters welded on the underside it could be fitted in one of three positions to supply front middle or back . Flexibility is the key .What I should do is split the pipes to the front middle and rear then just make it so I can switch them on/off according
Now you mention it I do have to maize cover that blanks half the pipes off, it would make it easy to switch between two sets of pipes or switch the lid to run both at the same time . I’ll see how much time I have to play around with the options as I’m wanting to be using it soon.Joking aside , if you had a top cover that could be split three ways with diverters welded on the underside it could be fitted in one of three positions to supply front middle or back . Did you manage to get some grass in with disc/seeder combi? Thinking of doing the same behind spring barley. Would be good to see establishment and crop if you have any pictures! CheersVery happy with the establishment of the covers using the discs, going to try putting some grass in with them next week. View attachment 985260
Didn’t really end up doing much grass to be honest only about half an acre to extend a horse paddock. Just topped it today.Did you manage to get some grass in with disc/seeder combi? Been very pleased with it, the time and fuel savings alone have been impressive. Also been asked to try establishing some ab9 for a customer we do other contracting work for. So will be interesting to see how that goes.I think you should be rather please with the results of your drills idea.
Simple and very effective.
Havery you tried puking oilseed rape in with it?
Looks good and even! What was the previous crop? Sorry for all the questions.Didn’t really end up doing much grass to be honest only about half an acre to extend a horse paddock. Just topped it today.

Hi OB,Interested to know how this went! Any update? Love the idea of it having tubes both behind and in front of the packer roller. Gives you the best chance in all conditions I suppose!?
