Should I be appling Slurry?

I've jusrt watched a fasinating video on YouTube by Dr Eliane Ingham (
) so it got me thinking should be appling pig slurry to my growing crops in the spring could it be doing more harm than good to the soils? any thoughts

She lost me when she said there are sugars and carbohydrates, when sugars are carbohydrates. Also she says the non-bacterial and fungal organisms need the larger microfauna to transport nutrients in the soil, when in fact the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi transport directly into the root cells. At that point I turned off.
