I havent used my cambridge rolls since I started using the 750A. Am contemplating selling them. Any one else given them up or not farm with them now that they are no till?
are they hindering you in the yard?I havent used my cambridge rolls since I started using the 750A. Am contemplating selling them. Any one else given them up or not farm with them now that they are no till?
I normally work on the basis that if something hasnt been used for a few years then it gets sold to put capital into something that is going to be used. That said in the back of my mind I am thinking that it may be useful to have a set of rolls about hence my query. I find the JD 750A with guttlers does a good job of closing the slot and I havent needed to roll, but possibly havbent used it long enough to make a call on the rolls!
My rolls are used more often pre drilling than post drilling. The idea being to crush some snails and to help chit some grass weeds.
To be fair, I doubt if they kill that many snails but every little helps. It's just a side effect of trying to get some grass weeds to germinate.Do they crush snails? We had loads this year in one block and that was despite rolling.
